Jermaine reckons Jermain wants the Irons

Jermain Defoe’s former Spurs team-mate Jermain Jenas reckons the 34 year old Sunderland striker wants to return to West Ham.

Speaking to the BBC Jenas said: “Somewhere within him he’s probably got that urge to put some wrongs right at West Ham because of the way he left.

“And, if we’re honest, if you’re looking at the two clubs [West Ham and Sunderland] and who’s progressing more you’d have to say West Ham.

“And I’m pretty sure that he would rather be back in London and be a part of what West Ham are trying to do.”
