Last night we mentioned in our story about the amazing East Stadium that a petion was running to have one of the OS stands named after him.
Many of you immediately signed and that has encouraged us to join the organisers in adopting this as an official ClaretandHugh campaign.
Next to the great Mooro, Bill was probably this club’s greatest legend and was the first recipient of the club’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Beyond his playing achievements he is one of the most approachable and likeable men in the game and always ready to talk to the fans either personally or through ours and other websites.
Very few people can claim to be living legend but Bill is most certainly one of them and this is our chance to let the great man now that we will do our part in making him a West Ham immortal.

Yes, did it yesterday.Cant see it achieving much in this world of sponsored stands & stadia but fair play to whoever started this petition.Good on them i say.Every signature will help though so lets all get signing.Bonzo is indeed a legend,he deserves recognition at the OS!
