Journo makes European Declan claim

|

A journalist has claimed that Real Madrid could join the race to sign Declan Rice in the summer if he is deemed available.

The Hammers star has been in brilliant form for the Irons thus far this season and is continuing to play a key role in the push to qualify for the Champions League.

Rice has been brilliant for England, too, with the Three Lions reaching the final of Euro 2020 with him in the team alongside Leeds’ Kalvin Phillips.

Declan has repeatedly been linked with a potential move away from the London Stadium, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City repeatedly deemed as potential options.

But a new claim from transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio has now claimed that there will also be interest from Real in the summer if a bidding war erupts.

In an interview with Wettfreunde, as reported by Football.London, Di Marzio said: “If there will be the possibility to have him (Declan Rice), Ancelotti will be in the race.

“I don’t know which strategy will Real Madrid will have in the future – it depends on some players staying or going. For sure, Carlo Ancelotti likes him very much.

“I know Carlo Ancelotti loves him. Carlo Ancelotti could be the perfect coach to have him in Real Madrid.

“Real Madrid could be perfect for him because their coach loves him in an incredible way.”
