True enough, West Ham United still have a need for speed with their sole paid recruit Manor Solomon having a ‘chequered’ injury history. The former Tottenham and Leeds wide man has undoubted talent and the ability to beat players and carve out opportunities – providing he can stay fit.
Which makes the Irons’ plan to bring in another winger as cover for both Solomon and Bowen a sensible one.
However that is where the plan seems to fall down.
Trying to convince Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson to drop down a division and restart his career in the Championship is a hard sell for one who has been loaned out as often as Fullkrug, Ward Prowse and Alvarez combined. Enter West Ham. Negotiating to bring another injury-prone player to cover for .. an injury prone player. Far better to continue with the negotiations for Edvin Austbo, the 21-year-old winger who currently plays for Viking in the Norwegian top flight: Younger, fitter and likely cheaper too. A £9 million bid apparently failed to prise the youngster away from his club but he’s surely a better option than an Arsenal reject who seemingly cannot buy a game at the Emirates for love nor money.
Sounds like he could be up there with Dyer and Wilshere for fantastic buys.

We need to go for Young hungry player, like back when we went down in 03, Ginge, Reo Cocker, Mullins etc and stop with these ponies that think their to good for us.

I had hoped the days of getting in injury prone rubbish players on loan just to make the squad numbers up were over,obviously not, nothing ever changes
We don’t need Reiss Nelson. A crocked out of form player is no use to us!!
Rather see Earthy play there than Nelson!!!
