French media make fresh claims today that West Ham have an agreement in principle with SM Caen midfielder Ngolo Kanté’s representatives about a possible deal.

The player’s agents, Mondial Promotion are working with Excelfoot’s Mark McKay, the son of the Willie McKay.

The player was proposed to West Ham by Mark McKay. The Hammers will need to offer a good €10m in order to sign the player but reports say there is an “agreement in principle”, at least orally, with Kanté’s representatives to do just that.

The Hammers might want a loan option first but Kante may well be a back up option if a deal cannot be reached with Alex Song as reported yesterday.

    Another midfielder…. mmmmm
good that there is going to be fierce competition for a starting place, could we really have a good enough squad to have squad rotation?? Less worry when a few injuries come up.. now go sign Moussa Sow & forget about Austin..

I posted earlier the stats on this guy from foreverwestham http://foreverwestham.com/2015/07/blog-topics/boleyn-whispers/hammers-chase-quality-central-midfielder-to-provide-song-competition? according to his stats he is like pac-man in midfield eating up opponents, outscoring everyone we have on our books in all aspects of his game with exception of goals where he scored 2 last season and Kouyate scored 4, the amount of tackles and interceptions he made are ridiculous. If we have agreed a price take him over Alex Song imho.

Sounds a bargain at the price and young enough to,
Song is good but at his age and with his wages being so high I would go for this one,
