Keep’s ‘injury’ problem “just a reminder”

|

Darren Randolph’s thigh ‘injury’ is no problem according to the man himself.

The club’s No 2 stopper looked to be in trouble after clearing a ball upfield in the game against Manchester City on Saturday.

And that saw David Martin  warming up for much of the second 45 minutes but ultimately wasn’t required with Randolph seeing the game out.

It was a worrying situation for a while, however, with Fabianski out of action after injuring his elbow in training on Friday.

Randolph revealed that he wasn’t aware he would be playing until they left the Manchester hotel ahead of the game.

The No 2 had missed five Premier League games with the injury and there looked reason for concern as he appeared to struggle through the second period.

He explained however that he was fine and although Fab is said to be 90 per cent certain for the game against Leeds,

Speaking on the club website Randolph said: “I’m fine. It was just a little tiny reminder that it’s still there, but I’m fine,”
