Lanzini injury revealed

With the starting team against Manchester United now officially announced, Claret and Hugh can  reveal that Manuel Lanzini is suffering  an injury that could keep him out the Hammers squad for up to a month.

The 26-year-old Argentine Hammer suffered a kick to his foot while on international duty but decided to play through the pain barrier against  Aston Villa last Monday.

There are now fears he could be out of action for up to four weeks but with a  chance it could be less depending how he responds to rest and treatment.

Claret and Hugh learned about the injury late last week but chose to keep it under wraps until the team was officially announced in order to ensure Manchester United on the back foot.

On Friday Manuel Pellegrini told reporters “Manuel Lanzini has a small problem that we will review before the game, so we must wait for tomorrow.”
