Chicharito looks all set to make the squad for tonight’s match against Southampton having virtually shrugged off a tight hamstring.
But although he was believed to have an outside chance of making the squad, Claret and Hugh understands that Marko Arnautovic isn’t quite ready but could be involved against Burnley on Sunday.
Fabian Balbuena is also believed to be missing from the squad this evening at St Mary’s and his place will be taken by Angelo Ogbonna.
Lucas Perez is believed to have recovered from a foot injury and it may be that the boss will choose to use him rather than Chicharito given the Mexican is still believed to be in minor discomfort.
It is believed that Pablo Zabaleta is feeling unwell and Michail Antonio will be drafted in at right back with Grady Diangana starting.
CandH Likely line-up: Fabianski, Antonio, Ogbonna, Diop, Masuaku Rice, Noble, Snodgrass, Anderson, Perez, Diangana.
