Hammers close to Declan Rice agreement

West Ham have tonight revealed that they are close to agreeing the terms of payment for the transfer of Declan Rice to Arsenal.

After three offers all that remains is for the structure to be sorted out over the number of years which will be involved for the cash to be received.

Arsenal initially offered to pay it over four years whilst David Sullivan has been insisting it must be paid over a period of one year to 18 months.

That’s the only way the Hammers can get their own business down and tonight it seems the two sides are closer than they have been for days.

A Hammers source revealed exclusively to Claret and Hugh that he was hopeful things would be sorted out over the weekend and said: “We are gradually getting there. It really shouldn’t take a great deal longer. Hopefully it will be done and dusted by Sunday or Monday.”
