BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson predicts West Ham will lose 2-0 this evening to Spurs at White Hart Lane while his guest score predictor, 1980s pop star Rick Astley also predicts a Hammer loss of 2-1.
Lawro tells the BBC website: “The contract situation at Tottenham concerning Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris is a really interesting one. How Spurs deal with that problem, and whether they match their wage demands or not, will be a sign of the club’s ambition.
As for the game, Kane’s fitness will have benefitted from being allowed to leave the England camp early. He should start, like he did against Arsenal before the international break, and he should be a bit sharper now.
Spurs have drawn their past four league games but I fancy them to win here. West Ham will have to wait to pull clear of the relegation zone.”
Meanwhile Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson predicts Hammers misery saying
“It was a very even game against Arsenal a fortnight ago, and with West Ham still struggling, I can’t see anything but a Spurs win,” .
“These two really don’t like each other, full stop. It’s a big grudge game. [For Tottenham] to be unbeaten so far this season is some going in a difficult league.”
I predict a 3 – 1 win to the Irons. Up yours ugly!
