The helicopter belonging to Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has crashed outside the King Power Stadium

The Daily Mail is tonight reporting that the helicopter belonging to Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has crashed outside the King Power Stadium.

The report says that moments after taking off from the centre circle of the pitch, “the helicopter went into a spin” and crashed just outside the stadium.”

Police and firefighters are now at the scene in a bid to contain the situation.

The Mail story says it is yet unconfirmed who was in the aircraft, though it is believed Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha is the only family member who attended the 1-1 draw on Saturday night.

But they report that area around the ground has been closed off, while the stadium has been evacuated.

West Ham’s team bus had already left the Power King Stadium, though some Leicester players were still inside the stadium as the ‘copter came down and erupted into a horrifying fireball as shown in the picture above.
