Loan exit for West Ham United striker on the cards

It seems as if West Ham’s Nuno Espirito Santo has seen enough through pre-season to make his mind up on several players, with the club selling Summerville, Fernandes and just recently FreddiePotts for £10 million. That’s in addition to Callum Marshall who left for Luton Town in a permanent deal last week.

Further loans and sales are bound to follow and whilst Hammers fans are sick of the ‘goodbye’s and would rather some ‘hello’s‘ with new signings sorely needed, it is another youngster who has been reported as being on the exit ramp in a season – long loan. According to the72.co.uk the next one out of the door is likely to be Scot Josh Landers:

Landers – likely to be heading for a loan this season

West Ham’s relegation will offer opportunities to some promising young players. However, others will leave WHUFC on loan, and one expected to move elsewhere is Josh Landers.

The 19-year-old striker has already drawn interest from Scottish duo St. Mirren and Livingston. Now, the Daily Record states that League Two side Cheltenham Town, Southend United of the National League and Scottish Championship outfit Ayr United are also keen.”

The young forward had impressed last season on loan to 5th tier Borehamwood and so, at nineteen, a step up to the old fourth division would be seen as good progress for the teenager whilst keeping him in-house for the time being.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.
