Knowing how fast things move on deadline day this report could well prove to be dated fairly quickly but as of sunrise, West Ham have several irons in the fire (sorry) for a last minute left back signing to replace the now sold El Hadji Malick Diouf.
One of the more intriguing options is for a late bid for London-born Manchester United teenager Harry Amass who starred on loan in the Championship last season with Sheffield United. The Red Devils do not consider the 19 year old ready to deputise for Luke Shaw just yet so there’s every possibility of West Ham snaring the defender for a season, according to Manure fan site thepeoplesperson.com:

West Ham need a left sided defender from somewhere, with Ollie Scarles the sole specialist. Kyle Walker Peters can play there but that immediately reduces options on the other side of defence and leaves the Irons vulnerable to a single injury: Hence the interest in Amass.
Whether there’s time to get a deal done today – the window closes at 11 – is up to the two clubs involved and Manchester United will certainly have bigger priorities today.

We knew Diouf was going. Nuno knows that Scarles is not good enough. Ezra Mayers is a left sided centre back- not a left back. Yet we wait until the last day of the window to do anything. This club is still being run like a circus
Its the same as the Disasi story and hanging around for him to make a decision when it was obvious to anyone that he would not come but it makes good print to look like we are chasing a Prem defender and the same as Diouf we all new he was going but funny enough we never made a move for anyone now its can a deal get done in time as ever our club is a fiasco when it comes to transfer dealings and always will be with people like DK VG TS and even DS still at the club…they all need to be gone and a completely fresh start is needed…..our club one of the biggest in the country is and has been run into the ground for to many years.

Scarles is rubbish? Why do we keep making out he’s something special? He’s extremely average and that’s being kind? If he’s our only left back we’re doomed and definitely won’t be back in the premiership anytime soon
We all knew Diouf was going days ago it was not a surprise and so a player to replace him should have been lined up. Different people same old West Ham. Best support in world, 60 k second div and still run by a bunch of c÷÷to.
