On 30th January 2015, E20 Stadium LLP awarded the service concession contract for the former Olympic Stadium to french firm VINCI Stadiums. The contract, which spans 25 years, includes: operation, upkeep and maintenance of the stadium, and co-ordination of part of the park around the stadium during the various events.
The Stadium is owned by the E20 Stadium LLP, a joint venture between the London Legacy Development Corporation and Newham Legacy Investments (a company wholly owned by Newham Council).
VINCI Stadiums has in turn created a wholly owned subsidiary company called London Stadium 185 Limited to run this contract, in honour of the 185 British Olympic and Paralympic medal winners at the 2012 Olympic Games. London Stadium 185 will be responsible for managing the 60,000-seat stadium during events ensuring its commercial development through additional programming generating additional revenue: corporate events, partnerships, catering, and co-ordinating activity in the venue throughout the year.
Linda Lennon CBE was appointed Chief Executive Officer of London Stadium 185 in August 2015, she was formerly the CEO of Royal Park and the Parole Board.
ClaretandHugh understands it is London Stadium 185 Limited that are now responsible for recruiting match day stewards at the new stadium on West Ham rented days and senior employees of London Stadium 185 were present last Saturday at the Boleyn Ground for a recruitment drive to persuade more current West Ham stewards to join them.
