West Ham eye Chelsea starlet

|

Ian Maatsen, the Chelsea attacking full back is the latest player on David Moyse’s wish list according to new reports.

Previously out on loan with runaway Championship winners Burnley, it is believed that the Irons have made an approach.

His Fbref metrics make very good reading, probably due to the dominance of Burnley in the Championship last season.

Maatsen averaged a ridiculous 74.43 passes a game, more than 96% of full-backs in England’s second tier but it would be most unlikely if he could replicate that in the Premier League.

West Ham eye Chelsea starlet Ian Maatsen

He is a handy goal threat as well averaging 2.55 shot-creating matches per game, he would be able to offer far more options than the defensively solid, traditional defender like the soon to depart Cresswell

Apparently, he is keen on getting first team football but he is well down the pecking order at Chelsea.

The 21 year old has a transfer value of about £15m – not too expensive

So perhaps we have a chance?

Get Tim Steidmen on the case. I just love the fact that Steidman has gone out to the US to bring Alvarez back with him. This is far more proactive and gives the player the comfort that we really want him. It also ensures that no one else can get at him. As soon as Alvarez signs get Steidman on the Maatsen case.
