West Ham striker Maiga scored for Mali over the weekend as they defeated South Sudan 2-0 in the African Cup of Nations qualifying. His weekend strike is his 11th goal for his country in 29 appearances.
Maiga will return to pre-season training with West Ham soon after his season long loan with Metz came to an end. He will be hoping for a fresh start under Slaven Bilic.
Maybe put a Mali shirt underneath his WH one and he might flourish for us lol sadly can’t see it happening
He was shafted when he arrived at WHUFC .. I think he was signed to play with Carroll in a pair but was then stuck up front as a lone striker when poor Andy got crooked. I’m not saying he will be great this time around but he will stand more chance of achieving something better
Last game for .metz he scored a corker and has a good average for his country,
Never looked so that interested or had enough energy, he needs to put himself about like AC,Slaven should have a look at him let his fitness garu put some fire in him and Zarate and it could save us a fortune
But don’t hold your breath,
Maiga fails to convince me… I just can’t see the same potential of Sakho… I hope to be wrong… 😉
With them unlikely to risk Carroll or Sakho coming back from injury maybe Maiga and Zarate will get their chances in the Europa league early rounds.
Lee an Valencia or maybe Austin and Remy ?
I think they are worth ago we might be surprised,
No what you mean Matte he has no Fight or get up and go,but he in his last year and if he does not perform for us or another the gravy boat comes to a stop and it back to the streets
