Man in black named for Arsenal game

|

Craig-Pawson-2The Premier League have named Craig Pawson as the referee to take charge of West Ham’s Saturday lunchtime London Derby against Arsenal.

Mr Pawson has refereed 23 Premier League matches this season dishing out 79 yellow cards and 2 red cards. His last sending off came in February when he sent off Newcastle’s Jamaal Lascelles late in injury time for bringing down Ross Barkley in the box. That decision was widely regarded as the correct one.

He also showed Southampton’s Wanyama a second yellow card back in November last year as the Saints beat Bournemouth three nil. Again that red card was widely regarded as the correct decision when Wanyama mistimed a slide on Lee Tomlin and he rightly was sent off.

West Ham has drawn the last two Premier League matches 2-2 and referees have played a large part in the dropping of four points.

Referee Robert Madley allowed Fàbregas to take an extra two yards for his free-kick at Stamford Bridge which helped Chelsea get the first goal then he incorrectly gave a penalty to Chelsea to level to the game.

Mark Clattenburg did no better at the weekend. The free kick which led to Adrian’s mistake and the first goal should have never been taken and the Cheik Kouyate straight red influenced the game to allow Palace to come back and level the match.

Let’s hope Mr Pawson does much better over the weekend.

As i said before, all we need is a ref with two eyes, an open mind and a much smaller ego.

The Fabregas free kick was taken from where the ref put the magic spray – you can clearly see that on the video. Obviously the penalty wasn’t one.

As for Saturday, we should have buried that before the contoversial red, can’t blame the dropped points on the ref, even if it was questionable.

I agree Boleyn. The game should have been buried way before then. I think Slav was giving us a heads up when he said that the game was coming too quickly after the international break. hey ho. we can still beat Arsenal (last at the Boleyn and all that).

Its not the dropped points it’s the fact that Kouyate could miss the 3 most important games of the season unfairly,
It’s not the first game we should have buried before we drop the points but that’s life and not the 12th Mans decision,
The games has gone crazy with its interpretation of rules, what’s dangerous what angle how high, most people even the not most intelligent can judge what is correct or not,
But these brain dead people have lost the use of there brains to follow laws that have nothing to do with football,
Pity they did not look at diving in the same way
A player leaves the ground with out another player making contact
A player goes to ground expecting the other player to come near him
A player decides where he is relevant to the goal before he swan dives
A player looses control of the ball some takes other action to gain advantage
OR A PLAYER CHEATS every paying punter and Fukcs our game up
But the men in black can’t see that either

    And Stella bubs !
How can a ref give a foul for a pull on a shirt , a block with an arm , etc , but allow WWF style grappling in the penalty areas at free kicks and corners ! Years ago when the rule was a non contact sport , penalty were given for holding of any sort in the area ! My question is , who changed the rules to allow cheating in the box ? Any contact outside the box more than often results in a free kick , why not a penalty in the box ! Villa gave away a penalty v Chelsea through holding , why not for villa in the Chelsea box ? This is the FA turning a blind eye so as to help c/l games where it originated from , to achieve this they have bent the rules! And in effect gives a dodgy ref the chance to influence a game of his choice !
Its blatant cheating ! Money has destroyed the sport as it does in life in general !
The game has gone as we knew it ! For the worse !!!
