Joao Mario is not short on confidence despite a West Ham spell which had most failing to make up their minds about his worth.

For discussing his future in the Italian media he has no doubt about what clubs should be paying for him – and that’s a cool £45 million.

The Hammers rejected the idea of paying half of that but as Mario looks for a PL return, he has no doubts at all about his price tag

The Inter Milan midfielder cost the Italian outfit that £45 million and speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport – despite never hitting the heights at the club – he said: I’m still worth this amount though

The year I arrived it was impossible to settle. First Mancini, then De Boer, then Pioli… There was a lot of confusion and we couldn’t have an impact”.

He added:  “I wouldn’t return to Inter. It’s true they’ve reached the Champions League and I’m happy for my former teammates, but I’m sure I’d miss the needed determination to get redeemed.

He added: I’m not at ease in the Italian league. I’m hoping for a Premier League side call, the top regarding my characteristics. I would also like to play in La Liga though”.

West Ham have ruled out a permanent move to the London Stadium but could be open to the 25 year old returning on a second loan spell.
