Mark Noble hint for Defoe signing

|

defoeSpeculation is gathering pace that West Ham will attempt to sign Jermain Defoe when the transfer window opens on Monday after West Ham’s captain Mark Noble started following following the former Hammer on social media.

Noble with over 82,000 followers on twitter made Defoe his 310th person he follows.

Last week ClaretandHugh confirmed that “conversations” over the availability of Jermain Defoe have been held but that Sunderland aren’t keen to let their star striker leave the Stadium of Light.

The former Hammer has found the net seven times for the third off bottom Black Cats who themselves have only managed 15 all season! And although at 34 years of age with no possible return on the £6 million outlay quoted in reports,  there is interest from the Irons.

Our poll of 1,555 Hammers fans shows that nearly 71% would welcome Defoe back with open arms in the January transfer window.

Sunderland without Defoe could have an uphill struggle to stay out of the relegation places, they know alongside Allardyce he was the reason they stayed up last year, likewise this year, unless we had something to trade it is a tough one to see them agreeing too isn’t it ?

Zaza/Defoe straight swap, that would be a fair deal wouldnt it 😁

  • Badger says:

Surely the chairmen have more sense than resign this mini Judas. Personally I hope he rots at Sunderland. The way and manner he choose to leave means he should never be allowed back.

Remember this scum bag is getting old and very small for a striker, he would want top wages and as Slav prefers to play with just one up front who would make way. Because in my mind he’s lazy, geeedy, sulks when he don’t get his own way and too small to play on his own up front.

    I’ll rather keep Zaza

This Judas stuff with players is so childish & really points to a small minded mentality.
With regard to him being small for a striker..do what???? Look at his scoring record, was Tony Cottee useless??? He was small.

  • Defoe admits he was badly advised by his agents. He was young and did what his agents told him. If he had kept quiet there would have been none of this name calling. He admitted he was wrong and said sorry. He was born in Stratford so this would truly become a home coming
