Marko’s bizarre video explained

|

Marko Arnautovic lastest social video was not aimed at West Ham fans asking for their respect but was, in fact, a commercial designed to be shown on TV and online in his native Austria. The video was produced by DAZN which is a sports subscription video streaming service owned by the Perform group and the video was made as part of Arnautovic personal sponsorship deal with the media company.

Arnie’s personal sponsorship deals/partners are handled by Next Sports Management founded by Leonhard Pranter and Christian Schmück and these are the team behind the ad campaign which was obviously lost in translation.

In 2016 Marko made 13 humorous Austrian TV and radio commercials in his role as a Euro 2016 ambassador. The ad campaign was shot by cult actor and up-and-coming director Michael Ostrowski.

Clearly the english subtitles on the video released by Arnautovic on Instagram didn’t help the situation and left room for speculation and debate.

Was blindingly obvious if you stopped and thought about it for more than a second.
