Masuaku on recovery road

|

Arthur Masuaku is still a couple of months away from a first team return.

The left sided midfielder has received surgery on a long term ankle problem and is currently involved in gym rehab whilst being about four weeks away from training on grass.

He remains our only injured squad player and the backroom team are confident  he will definitely be back before the end of the season.

He played his last game against Manchester United in the 1-3 defeat at the London Stadium before deciding to  receive the surgery on a knee issue that had been troubling him for some time.

He even decided to miss African Nations Cup international duty as a result of the problem which he said had been a problem for some time.

Eventually he made the decision to receive exploratory surgery conducted posting a picture of himself on his personal Instagram at a time when David Moyes was clamping down hard on club leaks!
