Matt Jarvis scores on his Norwich debut

|

matt-jarvis-445545Matt Jarvis on loan to Norwich City has scored on his debut this afternoon.  Jarvis was one of two changes for the Canaries who beat Bournemouth 3-1 this afternoon.

Jarvis fired a left footed shot from the right side of the box to the top left corner of Bournemouth’s net assisted by Jonny Howson to get his first goal for Norwich in the 67th minute.  However just six minutes the on loan Hammer was substituted  with Martin Olsson coming on in his place.

Jarvis’s eleventh hour transfer deadline day loan deal to Norwich City will save West Ham £1.75 million over this season with Norwich paying 100 per cent of the player’s £45,000-per-week wages.

In 2012 Matt Jarvis signed a five year contract after he signed from Wolves for a transfer fee believed to be £10.75m.

Ha ha. Typical. Downing scored too.

  • Hammerman6 says:

Of course they did, but remember Diame scored three goals for Hull early after his move, then disappeared.

    • COYI247 says:

He disappeared because he got very badly injured…still going on. Whatever the ins + outs, he didn’t deserve that, as far as I am concerned….By the way, one of those goals was against us!

No one who has left the club this season have moved to a better club. So well done to all who have scored for their new clubs 😀

  • PennsylvaniaHammer says:

Good for him. He might not make the grade for us right now but I’ve always liked Jarvis.

  • NAVAJO quoting Rodney King says:

    Supposedly Maiga got one too…

Ahhh, just what i need today,a bit of humour.Have had enough of Banjogate on WHTID.Cant be bothered with that site anymore.Seems to me they only want intellectuals, luvvies or the Sleepover gang on there.Going the right way about getting what they want after today.Pity people cant understand that as West Ham fans we are a cross section of the community.Appears some on there cant appreciate that. All too much for me,i dont need it.

Who let him go?? Why did we let him go?? Bilic you fool, lol.Im going to start a bring back Jarvis & Maiga campaign.Ok maybe not, they are best off where they are 😉

  • slaven a laugh says:

    Ha ha. Moncur scored too.

  • canchaz says:

Still believe Jarvis is a much better player than he was ever given the chance to prove under Sam.

    • essexclarets says:

He was given enough chances though, a winger who couldn’t cross the ball isn’t much use. We paid £10m+ for him.. good luck to him, as long as he stays in norwich 😀

Has anyone seen the Matt Jarvis skills on YouTube for his Wolves days? DO! Unbelievable…dynamite 1 on 1 with the goalie, and good positional goals. Put on the Claret + Blue shirt, and all that evapourated; for ages no-one passed to him, then he turned out to be an absolute liability tracking back in defence…but generally, he had incredible pace to beat defenders on the wing, The crosses didn’t always lead to anything though, I must admit…He’s a decent guy. I hope he does brilliantly at Norwich. Good luck to him! I hope he gets the success he was deserved but was starved of – for whatever reason – at West Ham.
