Maxi Gomez nightmare as Haller becomes Irons glory boy

|

Major Hammers target for a long time Maxi Gomez is suffering a total nightmare at Valencia after snubbing the Irons for the La Liga outfit.

The Hammers managerial duo Manuel Pellegrini and Mario Husilos tracked the player all last season and he almost became a winter signing.

But that broke down and when we went back in for the the striker this summer it became apparent that Valencia was always going to be his destination.

So far however they have won just one game, Gomez has seen no more than three minutes of the action and the manager who bought him –  Marcelino Garcia Toral –  has been sacked.

It’s a total nightmare for the former Celta Vigo player who also has to suffer the indignity of seeing the club he left above Valencia in the league.

Gomez’s current lack of action comes after he failed to make an appearance at the Copa America with Uruguay.

Meanwhile Seb Haller – whom the Hammers turned to after failing to land Gomez – goes from strength to strength for us, proving football’s wheel of fortune is a funny old thing to call.

Bit early to be gloating. 4 games have been played and Gomez has played 3mins so if we trying to make a comparison that we got the better deal then it’s pointless. Haller could go next 5-6 games without a goal and Gomez gets in the team and score 5 In 5.would you report that ?

I don’t wish anything bad on the lad. He madenit clear he wanted to stay and even nturned us down when we offered mega bucks. I hope he comes good for Valencia but we smash them in the Europa league next season ⚒⚒

Everyone makes mistakes, Gomez we could probably buy for a fraction of the price in the next window, he is a quality player and if his mind changes who knows what the future holds.
