Mohamed Kudus has back problem

The bad news continues to pour out of this international for West Ham with the news that Mohamed Kudus has a back problem and didn’t train yesterday for Ghana’s  game against Comoros which kicks off at 4pm today. According to the Ghana media and reported on X the player felt some discomfort in his back and will now face a late fitness test to decide whether he sill be involved in the World Cup Group One match.

The report reads: “Mohammed Kudus didn’t train with Ghana yesterday due to a back injury he complained about whilst running. He will face a late fitness test today to determine whether he plays against Comoros or not.”

This could hardly be worse news following the injuries to Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen although the extent of neither injury will be known until they have been scanned. It’s always a case of people looking on the worst side but there are of course possibilities that the injuries may turn out to be minor – one can only hope at this point.

Should the three of them be unavailable for the match at Burnley that would be an awful situation leaving us seriously short of power at Turf Moor against the bottom Premier League team who have just four points and have conceded 30 goals whilst scoring just nine.
