Bowen looks certain to miss the Burnley game

Jarrod Bowen looks certain to miss the Burnley game and perhaps several beyond that writes Hughie Southon. He is being sent to an expert specialist who is to look at his injured knee. The player has been sent home from the international break of course and a scan is showing what our key source described as the knee being “not quite right.”

Jarrod Bowen-Michail Antonio-West Ham-Bowen can take over from Antonio as the main striker for the Hammers

Bowen looks certain to miss Burnley game

We were told this morning exclusively (Tues): “Bowen is seeing an expert as his knee is not quite right. It  has fluid on it and he could be missing for days or longer – we are waiting to see what the expert says.”

However, there is better news of Michail Antonio who it was thought at one time that his season could be over. Now though we have been told the knee ligament problem isn’t as bad as feared after his scan and that he could be back in action for the team within a month.

These, though, represents real issues as Mohammed Kudus also faces a late test before Ghana’s World Cup qualifier today as has been reported here. He  has a back injury and it obviously remains a possibility he too could be absent from the game at Turf Moor this weekend.

So after remaining relatively injury free over the first part of the season the Hammers are in real trouble up front with our source saying: “The internationals are absolutely killing us.”
