Moyes adds another position to summer requirements

Exclusive By Hughie Southon

David Moyes has added a left winger to his summer transfer window requirements with a striker, central defender and  left back still on his agenda.

Despite Mikey Antonio, Craig Dawson and Aaron Cresswell now being into their thirties the club believe they all have a couple of seasons in them but that back ups or challengers for the position are required.

Pablo Fornals demonstrated the need for a left winger

However, the manager also feels that a natural left winger is required – a situation demonstrated by the performance of Pablo Fornals yesterday who gave natural width on that side in a fine performance.

The boss though is looking keenly  for a natural left sided player which could well spell the end of Arthur Masuaku’s time at the club.

The player has been out of form or injured for most of the season and following the failure of Felipe Anderson down that side all our attacking impetus has come through Cress.

Nikola Vlasic had one of his best games was at his best when operating down that side in a game against Leeds and could be an alternative option during the remainder of this season but the position is one the boss is aiming to fill in the summer.
