Watford boss Marco Silva has admitted a different West Haam are on the way to Vicarage Road and he isn’t sure what to expect from them.
He explained the Hornets are set for a test and reckons David Moyes could change the Hammers fortunes.
He said: “It is a different situation. If we played against a team with a coach they have the last months we have an idea of what they normally do.
“We know very well the players and the team, but it is a first match with a new coach. We know David Moyes and what he did at his other clubs.
“He can change everything. It is the first game and he can change. We respect the team and they have a lot of individual quality in their players. We know what we need to do to win the game.”
“What I can tell you about the situation is I look at it like with some players when they play well, or the same with a coach and somebody makes an approach to the board.
“ I read many, many things during the week and the media wrote I didn’t want to talk with anybody and then said I wanted to.
“I need to talk with my owner, my board and with my players as well, but nobody else.”
All of that leaves a shadow which can only help the Hammers as they look for their first away win of the season.
I like what I’ve seen and heard since Moyrs took over and I’m optimistic about this game. We definitely need something from it because after Leicester we’re going to need to play out of our skins to get anything from the run of games leading up to Xmas. The proof will be in the pudding but I’m going for a 3-1 win to us………
Hi there jonnyen 1,
I am cautiously optimistic about the Watford game, although I am a bit worried about Moyes playing Carroll as our central striker. If there is any justice in this world, he must use Sakho (with or without Carroll). Given that Chicharito, Antonio, and Ayew are out of action, and also leaving Martinez out of the first team squad, it will be interesting to see if Moyes goes with the single lone-wolf striker or with 2 twin strikers. I can’t see Sakho and Carroll playing together, but he might be tempted to use Lanzini as a secondary striker behind Sakho or Carroll.
Hello Max it’s going to be interesting to see how he sets up mate but I agree with you. AC on his own is a waste of time so hope to see two up top which I think will be Sakho snd AC but would prefer Lanzini and Sakho. We’ll find out soon enough mate COYI
