Moyes clarifies Benrahma loan situation

|

David Moyes has clarified Said Benrahma’s loan situation.

Speaking to the media following West Ham 3-2 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park the manager confirmed what Claret and Hugh have said for a long time that we have an obligation to buy the Algerian player from Brentford anyway whatever happens.

Moyes admitted whether West Ham make the deal permanent now or in the summer makes very little difference saying he has overcame the slight medical issue which stopped the Hammers signing him on a five year deal last summer.

While some yesterday suggested that the deal had already been made permanent, Claret and Hugh understands that is not the case yet with the gaffer admitting he might need room for domestic loans but at the moment but he couldn’t give any news or update on that  right now.

The Hammers are thought to be in advanced talks with Manchester United over a short term loan of Jesse Lingard although the Premier League club are demanding a giant loan fee.

Moyes praised Benrahma’s performance yesterday telling reporters post match: “I thought he played really well tonight and he played really well for the team tonight.

It wasn’t all his tricks,l but it was his pressing and commitment to the team which we want everybody to buy into.

If we have Said doing it then we are doing the right thing. Yes, he made a couple of wrong decisions with the final pass or decision but that is the thing we have been saying we have been a bit disappointed  have not got from him.

But he is new to the Premier League and we can’t be expecting too much too soon. I am sure once he settles down and gets used to it a little bit we will get much much more from him.”
