West Ham boss David Moyes is cooling on Chelsea striker Armando Broja with whom the club have been linked for months.

The player’s future is uncertain at the Bridge and the Blues are likely to be open to offers but we are being told that the Hammers boss is no longer sure about making a bid.

A key Claret and Hugh source told us this morning: “Our understanding is that the manager is not as keen as at one stage.”

Broja has been scouted regularly during is 14 appearances this season when scoring just one goal whilst last year he managed two in 19 appearances at all levels for the club.

Last season he made it clear he wanted to remain at Chelsea and new boss Mauricio Pochettino has given him opportunities to make his point but he remains very light on goals and Moyes is looking in other directions now.

His main priorities are at the back where Nayef Aguerd could be allowed to leave if an acceptable bid is made whilst Kurt Zouma is unable to play more than one game a week because of his troublesome knees.

That leaves the Hammers with Konstantinos Mavropanos and Angelo Ogbonna – hardly the best scenario for the remainder of the campaign.

As mentioned previously the development of Jarrod Bowen and Mo Kudus as a front line double act has reduced the need for a striker, or even two,  to be signed in the summer
