Moyes expects rapid D-Day verdict

|

David Moyes believes his future could be settled within a week of the season ending.

He is still refusing to commit himself publicly declaring only  he has a decision to make adding: “I want to make sure I can give the supporters what they crave.”

Asked when talks would take place he declared: There’s nothing scheduled. I don’t think it will be as long as that (two weeks), probably expect the week after the end of the season we’ll start seeing if things can be done.”

Should he remain at the club he claims there’s much work to be carried out saying:  “I think there’s a lot to be done, on the pitch and off the pitch as well.

“We’ve done a lot of things. Sometimes the first six or nine months as a manager is the hardest because you’ve got to prepare you’re team – and when we came in we weren’t in a particularly good position.

“Think back to the Burnley game and the situation we were in then and what the team have done since then. So there have been a lot of things put in front of us but I think we’ve dealt with things well, as good as we can.”

Obviously he wants the job, because he can see the potential of West Ham, but he also will ask for complete control, and a decent budget. If he gets that he will do a good job, but he won’t stay if he doesn’t get assurances. Rafa would probably ask for a much bigger budget.
