Moyes facing fascinating selection issues

|

Arthur Masuaka looks set retain his place when the Hammers travel to north London for the Carabao Cup clash next Wednesday.

As we reported earlier, Spurs are now all but clear of the various injuries and covid positives they have suffered within the squad and the match looks certain to go ahead,

West Ham are still free of any covid issues and with more recovery time now available both Aaron Cresswell and Ben Johnson are thought likely to be ready to rejoin the squad.

It will be fascinating to see how seriously Moyes takes the game at the quarter final stage with Wembley a very real possibility for the first time in a long time.

But should the pair be available expect Johnson to line up in the right back role for the suspended Vladi Coufal with Arthur in front of Cressie on the other side.

As things stand right now this looks a possible side: Areola, Johnson, Diop Alese, Cresswell; Masuaku, Noble, Rice, Lanzini, Yarmolenko, Bowen.

However, there are a few imponderables and young Harrison Ashby could fill the right sided role with Emmanuel Longelo taking a role on the other side.
