Moyes gives his Carroll verdict

|

David Moyes has confirmed that Andy Carroll is back in the squad for tomorrow’s game.

But whilst he has revealed that both James Collins and Pedro Obiang are back in training he has been forced to admit that neither will be ready for the Leicester game tomorrow.

At an early morning press conference the boss covered much ground generally and then said of Carroll: “We’ve fined him, he’s apologised to the players and myself, so we’ve moved on and it’s done and dusted. He’ll be in the squad this weekend.

“Neither Obiang nor Collins are in condition to be match-fit, but they are back in training.”

Of the goalkeeping position he said: “I’ve got a decision to make in goal. Both of them have been in, and Joe was obviously out last weekend due to the terms of his loan agreement.

“Two of his games have been against Liverpool and Man City, so we played him in those games because we understand how good he is and how many games like that he has played in during his career.”

And discussing the match in the east midands he added: “All the games are massive, as they’ve been since I came in. This is a big game for us, and all three games we have got left are big.

“We’ve got three games left and we want to win all three of them. If we win all three of them, then we could move quite a long way up the table.”

I hope you realise to win the remaining fixtures means that you have to stop the negative tactics as played against Stoke and Man. City and pick an attacking formation.
