Moyes gives his Everton squad update

|

West Ham boss David Moyes was in typical form as he offered little to help us work out tomorrow’s likely team against Everton/.

Like every other club the Hammers have seen international duty impact on fitness levels and he will take a careful look at each player before making any decisions.

Well that at least appeared to be the message as he gave his usual pre-match  assessment of things at his virtual pre-match presser.

Eight senior players were involved during the international break with Lukasz Fabianski making his darewell to the Poland team and Andriy Yarmolenko scoring for the Ukraine.

Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek were also busy and all will be thoroughly chexked out by the medics before a team selection is made for a critical game at Goodison Park.

Vladi Coufal has been resting up during the bewak and there is no news of his latest situation from manager or club.

Moyesie said: “We’re probably like everybody else. We’ve probably got one or two injuries, one or two people coming back from international duty that we’re having to look after.

“It looks like this international break’s taken its toll on a lot of people, and we’re no different.

“If I did have [any confirmed players missing], I probably wouldn’t tell you anyway! We might have some people who are not available.”

“I’ve put quite a lot of planning in,” Moyes confirmed.

“I’ve tried to train at a good level in the last week or two, because we know our training times and minutes will be limited in the next month or so.

“I’m also aware that I have to make sure I use the squad the best I can. I think we’ve tried to do that in the games. Whether that be in the Carabao Cup or the European games, I think we’ve done it as well as we can.

“You only need to start to get one or two injuries and it can start to affect your numbers, so from that point of view, you’ve got to be really mindful.

“It’s what we wanted. We knew there would always be times when  gets busy, so I hope that we’ll try and manage it as well as we can and continue to play as well as we’ve been doing.”
