Moyes hails one summer buy

|

David Moyes has hailed the club’s deal to sign Thilo Kehrer.

The defender arrived from PSG earlier this summer after Nayef Aguerd, the big-money signing in defence, picked up an injury in pre-season, ruling him out of the start of the campaign

Moyes believes the deal to sign Kehrer, which cost around £10m, is proof that the Hammers have worked smartly in the transfer window, having also signed the likes of Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca for bigger fees.

He told reporters: “I think there’s a lot talked about the money we’ve spent but 12m euros on Thilo… we’ve not always been shopping at the top, we’ve had to be careful.

“I think we’ve signed three players, the centre-half, the centre-forward, and Paqueta, three players who we hope will take us on and make a difference in the future, and then we’ve pieced together a little bit of the other players as well.”

He’s saying Thilo Kehter was a bargain at 10 million and he’s right because he seems decent to me but when he talks about the three players to take us forward in Scammaca Paquetta and the centre half I think he’s talking about Nayef Aguerd.
