David Moyes has selection issues despite the Bees win amd Kalvin Phillips will be fortunate to reclaim a place in the team for tomorrow’s game at Everton after the win over Brentford.

Hammers players lose belief in Moyes as Kalvin Phillips saw red against Nottingham Forest

The Manchester City loanee has of course not made the best start to his Irons spell but  he looked a better player before being sent off for two yellow cards against Nottingham Forest.

And given that Tomas Soucek – who came in for him against the Bees – produced one of his best displays of the season Phillips looks booked for a place on the bench.

Moyes, of course is a big fan of the midfielder and may, despite that. choose to include him despite his less than average start.

In my opinion the manager has a  far more difficult choice to make at central defence where Zouma’s form looks poor and it could be either Aguerd or Oggy to replace him.

I have mentioned it on several occasions but it remains extraordinarily difficult to understand why Oggy has not been included given his brilliant performance in his last game against Arsenal.

However, Moyes is not usually a man to lose faith in his own signings and as a result it seems more likely – should he make the change – that the Moroccan will line up alongside Mavropanos who has been in very decent form.

It will then be even more interesting who the manager makes captain with Jarrod Bowen of course holding outstanding credentials.
