Few would argue that Mohammed Kudus may well have been the buy of the summer. Since settling into the Premier League he has been sensational and David Moyes is a massive fan.

The Ghana international provided two remarkable assists in the Burnley game for the Hammers to run out winners in a game which looked gone. Then came a fine goal on Sunday against Palace following a worldie earlier in the campaign. He’s a top player and even Fabrizio Roman was moved to discuss him in his Daily Review.

He admitted the interest from other clubs before we snapped him up and added that it was too early to suggest there may be more as he has only been with us 100 days. But that in itself does represent a small worry I guess. Right now he looks a game changer and a guy who loves the ball and is at times impossible to bustle off it.

Discussing him at the pre match press conference for the Spurs game Moyes said:  “Mo has started great for us. He’s had an impact with his goals and assists, and I think his all-round play has been good. It will also improve as he gets more used to the Premier League and the intensity of the games. I’ve been hugely impressed how well he’s done.

He’s probably started better than I would have anticipated. We eased him in during the first couple of games but since then we’ve found that he was scoring or making goals for us. Now he’s starting and doing much of the same, and we hope that continues.”
