David Moyes has revealed that he wants European football next season as his reward for his work with West Ham this seaosn.
Speaking with reporters on Friday the manager said “If there is some way you want to be rewarded for the season you have had, I think European football will be that reward. We all watch it, we all know about it, many of us have been involved in it, there are players here who have played in European games before. I think we want to try and get in amongst it. I don’t know if I will be saying that if I was in it and worrying about getting teams and whatnot together. But overall, I’m not considering any of that at the moment. I can only consider trying to win the next game. We might not make it, but I think we have got a good chance, and I want us to keep on going and try and do it.”
West Ham will need to finish in the top seven for that reward to become a reality but with places and positions so tight the Hammers can finish anywhere between third and eleventh in the next week.
We need to finish 5th or 6th for Europa League, if the PL show some stones they will relegate the 6 clubs that brought the game into disrepute for the second time, they won’t though because they are on the gravy train and need their assets to perform, if you look at recent results it could appear that other than Tottenham the others are helping each other finish as high as possible… Liverpool helped out, Chelsea helped out, Arsenal helped out, City didn’t need help.
Man Ure the biggest culprits this week! ..
Them and City, nothing to play for helping others out, its lie a Cartel, they upset the focus of all the other 14 teams in PL with their antics, whilst focusing their own teams, so glad to see Chelsea lose and Leicester win, hopefully Utd get thrashed by Villarreal these clubs should have been banned. In Europe for seasons, yet two of them will be playing the CL final and One in the Europa League final, pure greed from their Owners, they should all be immediately removed and forced to sell their clubs.
Hmmm. Not using a Charlie Hebdo cartoon?
I don’t get offended (except by poor refereeing) but mixing politics, religion or sex with sports is asking for trouble.
And Moyes has been a second coming.
