Imagine how much lower that net spend figure would be if pellegrini signings hadn’t been such disasters and had to be sold at a huge loss. So the Moyes net spend figure is as much about how bad value pellegrinis transfers were as it is about how good value Moyes signings have been.
Absolutely. That net spend of 87m is pretty much just Pellegrini’s mistakes with Anderson and Haller
Slightly misleading. Wasn’t Moyes responsible for the initial purchase of Hugill which doesn’t seem to be included in the summary.?
This is a summary since his return on 1st January 2020. He bought Hugill during his first six month stint for around £9m. If included it would only increase his net spend by £6m
