David Moyes‘ ‘Let’s park the bus and win it in London’ failed miserably as a very poor side Freiburg, who will come to the east end with a one goal lead after Michael Gregoritsch gave them their win following an Alvarez giveaway ball.
Moyes parks the bus and Hammers are beaten
The Hammers will consider themselves unlucky not have been awarded a late penalty but it was ruled out by the ref after a VAR review clearly showed the ball had been handled in an unnatural position.
Moyes and the boys will be furious but the truth is they barely deserved much from a game in which they had chances via Bowen and Paqueta but simply couldn’t capitalise before Gregoritsch struck in the 81st minute.
Even at that stage Moyes failed to bring on Antonio who eventually arrived three minutes from the end unable to make any impact in the time he was allowed. WHY?
The Hammers position was clear from the start -they were here to get a draw against a team with so little cutting edge it was embarrassing.
What had happened to the West Ham of Brentford and Everton… nothing,. they had simply retreated into the shell we know so well.
Fabianski had no shot of any consequence to save and Bowen shot wide while Paqueta headed wide from chances set up by man of the match Mo Kudus.
Coufal had a good game but Zouma was guilty of ball watching for the goal despite knowing the scorer was behind him.
We didn’t deserve to win because once again we didn’t show enough desire and although I believe we will probably get through it will be tough – VERY TOUGHas the Germans no doubt attempt to park the bus on Moyes.

West Ham contained the game well, but one mis-hit shot lead to a goal.
No worries
That’s ok Limey,. I believe they should have attacked a poor team as Liverpool managed 5-1 not contain
