Moyes reckons he’d “be right for many clubs”

|

David Moyes has again talked up his Premier League credentials as West Ham had towards a decision on whether he stays or goes.

Having indicated the decision could be made within a week of the season finishing Moyes has been making it clear he won’t be short of offers if the Hammers say “thanks but no thanks” to  continuing at the London Stadium.”

He said: “I’ve been right for a few clubs, and I think I’d be right for many clubs. Probably, apart from two or three managers, there’s nobody who’s got a better win ratio.

I have to make sure I’ve got what I want to do. For most of my seasons, apart from one last year, I’ve been competing at the top six, eight. I know what it looks like I know what you need to get there.

“I need to see if West Ham are going to get there. I think there’s a lot to be done, on the pitch and off the pitch as well.”

Since arriving at the Hammers Moyes’ win record  which he mentions as a point in his favour has been just over 25 per cent with seven wins from 29 in all competitions.

just wish we had a decent board. penny pinching will lead to disaster.

Worst case scenario – while we dither Moyes takes another job, Ashley sells Newcastle so Rafa decides to stay there, Fulham get promoted thru the playoffs so their manager stays , the Daves start scrabbling around for 3rd or 4th choice (Bilic after BFS) and then don’t back him because he wasn’t their first choice ….

OK let me be more optimistic … top half finish next season
