Moyes tells early leavers: True supporters stay to the end

David Moyes is unhappy when seeing thousands of Hammers fans leaving the London Stadium before the end of a game.

He has mentioned on various occasion that he hates to see that happening and was not too pleased when it happened again towards the end of the match against Newcastle.

It wasn’t a pretty sight and the mockery coming from the visiting supporters was unbearable as the Hammers made mistake after mistake in of the most embarrassing displays we have seen in a very long time.

It was entirely understandable that even diehard fans should head for Stratford International as the Toon army and their team performed the final rites over David Moyes men.

And afterwards Moyes made his feelings clear and even admitted that had he been a fan he might have joined them whilst claiming at the same time that when things aren’t going well that’s when you stand up and be a true supporter. Err, pardon Mr Moyes!

He said: “I might have walked out tonight as well, but sometimes when things aren’t going so well you need everyone behind you. That’s when you stand up and be a true supporter. But I have no qualms with them leaving with a result like that.

ClaretandHugh says: Perhaps it would be a very good idea for Moyes to learn how to do his job properly before telling us how to do ours. Sadly, he is still hanging around when most would be happy for him to have been an early leaver

A true Manager with integrity would have resigned by now and not worrying about fans walking out at 1-5 down.
