David Moyes will be at the London Stadium tonight to run the over the Hammers under 23s as they take on Derby County in Premier League 2. (7 pm kick off)
It’s a major boost for the “reserves” as they bid to make the breakthrough to the first team with the manager declaring: ““I’ll go and have a look at the U23s tonight.
“We’ve got a few injuries so it will probably mean that I’m going to bring one two players with me from the U23s into the first team squad.”
It’s unlikely that the manager would expect any to start on Sunday with an important LS game behind them tonight and his attendance follows a week when many of them have been training with the first team squad.
And looking ahead to Sunday he said: ” “Today some of the players returned for the first time. Winston Reid has flown in this morning, so did Diafra Sakho. I’m expecting both of them to be fit for the game.
“Neither of them trained today but with a bit of luck they’ll both be back.”
Pretty sure Bilic didn’t ever do this?????
Did he leave early in true London Stadium tradition ?
Just got back from the match ? So none of the u23 s. In the squad for Sunday then ! Poor was a understatement , dianganna can hold his head up the rest were very poor , and as for westly being touted for a temp ? 5 goals all coming down our left side , and he takes off our right back ? It was like watching the seniors defend ! Their centre forward terrorised our defence ! On his own lol! Bad night at the office ? They just didn’t turn up ! 😕 we made a derby side look good , truth was they defended very well and were well drilled , but 1-5 flattered them and embarrassed us ! Moyes wouldn’t have been impressed lol.
