Former academy director backs West Ham striker Divin Mubama to be a star

West Ham’s exclusive Claret and Hugh blogger Terry Westley was sorry that exciting young striker Divin Mubama didn’t get five or ten games last season.

The former academy director believes that the Hammers have a really great prospect on their hands and sees him coming to the first team party next season.

He said: ” He wasn’t one of my youngsters but from the little we saw of him I thought he looked a very good young player indeed.

Mubama is like an old school striker

“He’s strong and quick and like the old school strikers is always looking for space behind defenders. He also has the knack of being in the right place at the time for a goal opportunity. I really like the look of the lad.

“It’s entirely down to managers to decide because they see so much of the youngsters in training but personally I thought he was ready to get a few games – say five or ten.”

If Moyes stays Div won’t get five games next season either. Moyes record with academy players confirms that, he won’t ever give them even five minutes.
