Mubama? That didn’t hurt did it Moysie

Mubama? That didn’t hurt  did it Moysie. Giving the teenage striker an outing this afternoon was about the best thing that happened apart from two great assists courtesy of Mohammed Kudus which allowed the teenager to ensure an own goal before Tomas Souckek volleyed the winner. Afterwards the manager spoke of the huge energy Divin had brought to the team and that he was an east end lad playing for the team he supports.

That’s all good and we can only hope and pray that after his performance – not helped by an off colour midfield – he gets another on Thursday evening against Backa Topola and is chosen ahead of Danny Ings next weekend against Crystal Palace at the London Stadium. Like most others I have felt for some time that this lad is a proper striker who knows exactly how to get in behind defences and he certainly showed more in his 30 odd minutes on the pitch than Ings had done during the first half ana bit of the second.

It was a similar display to the one he had given against Brentford towards the end of last season, pace, energy and enthusiasm in abundance. Having watched him this afternoon it is surely going to be hard for Moyes not to give him more chances or are we expecting too much.
