ClaretandHugh today launched a new poll into what has been dubbed the ‘Final final Boleyn game.’
A poll on the club’s official site was hijacked by a Manchester United twitter account urging Reds fans to ensure they recorded a yes vote.
The game was planned to involve West Ham Ladies and a celebrity X1.
The Man U intervention saw a result of 52 per cent in favour and 48 per cent against and West Ham’s would-be organisers are now trying to make up their minds what to do.
In a bid to help we launched our own day-long poll and the outcome was clear when we closed the voting at 9pm this evening.
Those in favour of playing the game totalled 537 or 41.34 per cent of the votes cast whilst 762 or 58.66 per cent voted against the game.
With a total of 1299 votes cast in the few hours the poll has been running, it is now an official result as Mori standards are that a minimum of 1,000 votes are cast for it to be so.
I cannot understand why 58.66 per cent voted against the game… what’s the matter? Just another opportunity to see the Boleyn, an opportunity for a little bit of fun…
Because they are miserable people Matt.Maybe they can all go back in for one last time the day the bulldozers turn up to knock the place down. That will shut them up once & for all lol
lol 😉
Well the outcome was clear but the actual issue isnt clear, for every 6 who dont want it to happen 4 do,it’s hardly overwhelming isi it.
What an absolute load of tosh.So the ladies can’t play there according to the ‘NO’ voters when there is going to be another game there when the Royal Engineers play Upton Park anyway.Mean spirited morons.
I’m just surprised there was 1299 votes in the few hours it was up.Not bad considering there is only ment to be less than 10 users on this site haha
Eleven users Rads…eleven.
Lol Rad.Yeah it took a lot of effort to vote 200 times today,I got no work done lol
Matte & bubs will be disappointed the cookie monster never turned up to sabatoge the vote.Don’t worry Gobs the cookie monster will mean nothing to you I doubt,he turned up during the Hippohead days 🙂
hahhaha… I was thinking the same thing Rads… the ghost of the cookie monster is still hovering over us… lol 😀
He has probably moved on to Sunderland sites now sabotaging their polls to make Hippo looked wanted.Maybe the cookie monster was his wife 😀
Correct,I wasn’t here during the Allardyce reign of terror lol the cookie monster means nothing to me 😉
Right, early start in the morning,I better hit the hay.cya fellas.
THE LAST MATCH AT THE BOLEYN HAS BEEN PLAYED……LET’S LEAVE IT AT THAT. ANY GAME THERE NOW WILL TARNISH THE MEMORY.
what a boring subject. pity the football is finished.
Other games are being played there anyway. That is the whole point that the “no” voters don’t seem to understand. You can hire it yourself and play there if you can afford it. As for tarnishing your memory just stay away and you’ll know nothing about it. Let others who couldn’t go last week have a chance of some memories too.
