New Lanzini deal update

|

Manuel Lanzini is close to penning a five year deal for the Irons within days.

ClaretandHugh has discovered within the last few minutes that the midfield playmaker and his advisers are close to agreeing a deal which will keep him at the London Stadium until he is 31 and there may even be an option for him to stay beyond that.

We were told this afternoon by a senior club source on e mail:  “Manuel is expected to sign a new five year deal in the next few days.”

Talks have been going on for a couple of months and look set to conclude within the few days mentioned.

IAnd the new contract will see the player rocket into the club’s top earning bracket of £100k plus.

It was unclear until today following our inquires just how long the player would be prepared to commit to but we now know that to be five years.

The club seem entirely certain the deal is now in the bag and that the Argentinian star is likely to end his career at West Ham.
