New left back name added to list of interest

|

West Ham are reported to be interested in signing Porto left-back Zaidu Sanusi according to a report from Porto-based publication Mercado Azul.

The Nigeria defender is expected to leave Portuguese side FC Porto before the end of the transfer window, Completesports.com reports

Sanusi started Porto’s first game of the campaign, a 2-0 win against Belenenses but is now out of favour at the club.

The former Santa Clara player was not named in the matchday squad for Porto’s 1-1 away draw at Maritimo or the 3-0 win over Arouca on Saturday.

The arrival of Brazilian left-back Wendell means the defender is not guaranteed regular playing time at the club this season.

Whether this report has any weight remains to be seen as West Ham have completed their permanent transfer business and are only in the market for a loan.
