Newcastle calling so it looks like Carroll time

|

If Andy Carroll could have had the choice of kick starting his career anywhere this season it would probably have been at Newcastle!

And of course this weekend he may bet exactly that chance as he looks at a chance of putting himself back in the Hammers frame or the summer window.

AC has of course been linked with a move back to St James’ Park on several occasions but that possibility may now have finally passed him by such has been the number of injury lay offs.

However, most managers love to give players the opportunity of letting themselves loose on former clubs and there can be no issue that the striker will be very much on his metal to prove a point if and when called on at the weekend.

It may be that was part of the reason for him spending the 90 minutes on the bench at the weekend as the manager gives him as many options as possible to produce the type of performance of which we all know he is capable.

It could easily become the first step in a make or break period for the Carroll career as he bids to show he has plenty left in his locker.
