Newcastle have triple injury problem for Hammers clash

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United will be without three injured players when they meet the Hammers at the London Stadium tomorrow evening.

That’s according to Ben Dinnery who reports on injury situations and has declared this to be the case on the Premier Injuries website.

The Magpies will arrive at the game in good form after a 2-0 win over Manchester United at the weekend which was their third win on the trot.

The Hammers meanwhile gained a crucial win over Southampton and are now unbeaten in five outings at home.

Dinnery said in his piece that top scorer Miguel Almiron is ruled out of the encounter due to a thigh injury, with a potential return date of 30 April.

Almiron has been in sensation form this season and has been reinvigorated by Toon boss Howe. Newcastle of course have numerous other options who can play wide right, but Emerson’s recent good form for the Hammers should offer some encouragement.

Former Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser will also miss the game whilst defender Emil Krafth is ruled out with a long-term knee injury.

Despite all of that the Hammers will need to step up in a big way on their Saints performance to get three points.

I’m thinking we need to step up in a big way just to get a point from this game…

We’re unbeaten at home since the start of 2023. Ive got a good feeling we can maintain that against Newcastle though it’s a tough ask I sense the fans are starting to get behind the team a bit more of late and it’s helping to turn the London stadium into a bit of a fortress.
