No better time for Irons to play Liverpool

|

There could hardly be a better time than to be playing Liverpool.

Much will be made about this game showing us where we stand but the reality is Liverpool’s form right now is as bad as ours in good.

It seems a crazy statistic but even by the standards of this extraordinary season Klopp’s lot are in one heck of a mess.

It happens to every team but if you live in a West Ham bubble you would believe only ourselves find ourselves in such terrible troubles.

Liverpool’s have won just one game in the last seven (Villa), drawn three (West Brom, Newcastle and Manchester United ) and lost three against Southampton, Burnley and United.

They have dropped to fifth place, one point behind us whose form has been sensational with six straight wins.

That’s a measure of where we have come from since David Moyes took charge and there’s one point that needs making very strongly.

Things have changed dramatically within our club with Moysie now calling the shots in a big way.

If that weren’t the case how do we account for the transformation of this great club’s fortunes.

They’re 4th Hugh and are Champions. We will have to play better than against Palace as I doubt we will get as many chances. I can see our front 4 causing problems if they are allowed to attack like they did against Palace but can’t defend like we did in the firs few minutes or last 15. We did concede twice old chap.
Lets test their new defensive pairing and go for it.

What an utter crazy report and childish reaction to someone not agreeing with you. Why can’t you take any criticism Hugh ?
Maybe you should of waited on that send button. They have just beaten Spurs 3-1 easily and look bloody good.
It’s a good time for us to be playing anyone.
If we play like we did in the last ten minutes against Palace with a defensive attitude we will get demolished. Let’s play like we did from the 3rd minute to those poor substitutions.

PS. you probably won’t post this

    • Stats improved by one. This is way OTT. I see you are a first time contributor. Don’t believe the the hates criticism crap from the Twitter haters. And welcome by the way.

Fifth in the league is hardly what I would call such terrible troubles, even so, you’re right, never a better time to play the scousers. Unless they rise up like a wounded beast and rip us apart of course.

“Klopp’s lot are in one heck of a mess.!!”

Nothing like kicking the beast when its down to rile up its ire

If Klopp post this on the dressing room wall, you’ll be kicking yourself come Sunday

  • It is going to be an interesting and exciting game – especially if Antonio wears his scoring boots – Moyes has worked wonders and deserves the long term contract he needs to shape the team he (and we) wants – owners need to understand that you cannot turn an aircraft carrier round overnight to face the enemy with full force. Let Moyes have a free hand to continue on the successful path he has chosen…..Chelsea have more money than patience or sense!

      Spot on Bill Richards.
Ignore the moaners and let the team go out against Liverpool and enjoy themselves.
This year so far has seen a complete turnaround in attitude, workrate, and results.
      Long may it last!
